With more than 8,500 employees, the Cherokee Nation and its businesses are making an economic impact of more than $1.3 billion annually. They are making a significant contribution - to the health and happiness of Cherokee citizens, the preservation of Cherokee culture, and the greater good of the local economy through programs and accomplishments, such as:

- Creating more than 6,500 new jobs in the last 10 years and managing an annual payroll of more than $240 million

- Operating the second-largest tribal health system in the United States, including a 58-bed hospital, eight outpatient facilities with medical, dental and vision care, and multiple other health care programs

​- Supporting Head Start, early childhood classrooms, Sequoyah Schools for grades 7 - 12 and Cherokee language revitalization programs

- Providing more than 2,600 higher education scholarships in the past decade

- Providing more than $2 million annually to Oklahoma Schools from car tag sales

- Feeding more than 90,000 individuals, including more than 40,000 meals delivered to elderly citizens, every year

- Building roads, bridges and waterlines that benefit all Oklahomans
